Based in the beautiful rural village of Upper Moutere near Nelson, surrounded by vineyards, hop farms, orchards and country gardens, Fleur Woods' art is largely inspired by nature. She describes her work as stitched paintings. Starting as a mixed media artist, she taught herself a variety of skills, including the contemporary embroider techniques she now uses to express her reverence for nature through colour, texture and form.
